    INTRODUCTION

Being competitive isn’t enough, the new era demands collaborations and partnerships for institutions to flourish and radiate success within the societies they work. Keeping this in view, the Roots Academy for Professional and Intellectual Development (RAPID) envisioned a forum for integrating top notch educationists and think tanks from around the globe to discuss, debate and propose revolutionary academic initiatives to enhance educational standards. The Education Symposium is the implementation of that dream.

For RIS, the International Education Symposium is not just an event, it is a tradition. Each year the ROOTS Academy for Professional and Intellectual Development (RAPID) pulls together the masterminds in the field of education and development, providing them a platform to discuss, debate and propose revolutionary pedagogical practices, innovative learning methodologies, techniques for continuous development of teachers and teaching processes, holistic educational systems for pupils to groom in, and all other aspects of education, worthy of gaining attention.

This year, the theme of the symposium is a reflection of the prognostic vision of ROOTS INTERNATIONAL “Education Next: Future of schooling”. Congregating educationalists, technologists, teachers and parents, the symposium aspires to shape-up an ample educational system for grooming the generations to come. The outcomes of this intellectual gathering will be prominent in shaping the agenda for the next 25 years of educational contribution of RIS towards the society.

Following the tradition, this year too, RAPID is delighted to host the INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION SYMPOSIUM 2013 – Education Next: Future of Schooling (ENX) on 1st & 2nd February, 2013 in Islamabad. For two entire days, the symposium provides an environment of learning and networking activities for the delegates, such as:

    • Hear from the authorities in education field.
    • Learn what educators are doing for students in every grade level, subject area, and ability group.
    • Explore breakthrough teaching strategies or school wide and system wide restructuring.
