Over a period of a generation, leading educational researchers have attempted to discover the factors that can enhance school effectiveness and, for many, the term “professional development” has become centrally synonymous with school effectiveness. Powerful global and international trends in educational methods and policy are provoking educationalists to sharpen their skills. The factors including school-based management, outcome oriented curricula, market forces and competition cannot be over looked in the development of a holistic training program. Now it is not worthless to say that teacher training in education is as mandatory in education as teacher and book.
Since the ‘institutionalization’ is conceived at RIS through three drivers: dream, plan and achieve; the importance of various training initiatives cannot be overlooked. Roots Academy for Professional and Intellectual Development (RAPID) is focused towards equipping the teachers with the right skills and tools to enhance their teaching practices and become reflective practitioners.
Following the vision, we organize the educational symposium each year, gathering academic intellectuals from around the globe, providing them a platform to synergize their energies and formulate effectual pedagogical methods like never before. Involvement of parents into the discussion will surely lift the International Education Symposium 2013 – Education Next: Future of Schooling to another level. It is going to be a one-of-a-kind academic endeavor, aimed at advancing learning and teaching standards to new horizons.
